There is no thunder or storm sound in Background Noises. Here is what comes closest.
Background Noises does not have a thunder or storm sound. Its nature sounds are River, Rain, Fire and Forest, and none of them has thunder in it. For the rain of a storm without the thunder, play Rain; for the long, low rumble without the cracks, play brown noise.
What is in the sound of a storm?
Mostly rain, with thunder on top: a deep rumble that rolls in and dies away, and every so often a sharp crack when a strike is close. The rumble is deep bass. The cracks are the part some people find startling, and they are why the sound of one storm can be so different from the next.
What comes closest?
- Rain is the steady rain of a storm with no thunder, no wind and no change in intensity.
- Brown noise has the deep, continuous rumble, with no cracks and no pauses.
- Pink noise is the closest plain sound to a heavy downpour, without the texture of the drops.
